Q: How do I get an API key?

Create one in your Knock2 dashboard. Keys start with kn_live_ and go in the Authorization: Bearer header of every request. Each key can be limited to the scopes it needs, and you can revoke it at any time.

Q: Is there a sandbox?

Yes. Every endpoint has a sandbox version under /v1/sandbox that returns realistic sample data, so you can build and test before connecting real traffic. The API docs have the sandbox key.

Q: Which webhook events can I subscribe to?

account.identified , contact.identified , score.changed and play.triggered . Platforms also get tenant.limit_approaching and tenant.limit_reached for their customers. Every delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256, so you can verify it came from Knock2.

Are there rate limits?

Yes, per API key, counted per minute. Every response carries headers with your limit and how much of it you have used, so your client can slow down before it gets throttled.

Which webhook events can I subscribe to?

account.identified, contact.identified, score.changed and play.triggered. Platforms also get tenant.limit_approaching and tenant.limit_reached for their customers. Every delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256, so you can verify it came from Knock2.

Can I provision Knock2 for my own customers?

Yes. Platforms and agencies can create a tenant per customer with POST /v1/tenants. Each tenant gets its own tracking script, API key and usage limits, fully isolated from the others. See Knock2 for platforms.
